This is exciting, to finally start something I've been dreaming of for years.
I graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in 2001. This makes me certifiable, as a Healer that is. My healing training goes back a bit further actually, to around 1995.
Most of that time I've had an idea that I've been fostering for awhile. That with the growth of the Internet, that there is a spiritual purpose to the existance of the Internet. Specifically, that the Internet can be used to foster the growth of spiritual awareness and perhaps to reduce suffering in the world.
The idea is that we, as individuals, can now individually speak to a world audience. For example, in 1995-6 I was taking Reiki training and was very seriously interested in Reiki. At that time I spent a little time learning how to write web pages, and threw together a site that lovingly described Reiki. With a little more work the site became The Reiki Page, holding the #1 spot in most search engines for the keyword "Reiki".
By virtue of that position in the search engines, most anybody searching for information about Reiki will wander through my site at some time or another. A part of my site is a practitioner directory, I wrote the software, and the Reiki Practitioners of the world filled in their information. After a few years there are over 8,000 entries in that directory, and they come from all over the world.
Just me, my fingers, my ideas, my brain, and I can speak to the world.
With this site the vision is to help my fellow Brennan Healing Science Practitioners to jointly make that phrase useful and known to the world. As it is, almost nobody knows what this phrase means, yet it is one of the highest qualifications a healer in todays society can posess, as, in my opinion, the Barbara Brennan School of Healing has the best training program of any of the major healing schools.
The plan is this: Build a web site whose purpose is to explain and describe Brennan Healing Science. The individual practitioners will do this description, as it is they who are practicing in this style. Along the way these practitioners will also be writing about many other topics, because we are a varied and diverse group, and our individual Healership takes just as diverse a set of forms.
By having a group of people writing about a wide range of topics, this will tend to draw visitors for those other topics. While on this web site they will have the opportunity to be exposed to Brennan Healing Science. The more who come to the site and are exposed to our work, the more valuable will be the phrase Brennan Healing Science Practitioner.
In theory, anyway, this is how it will work. Only by trying this out will we know whether it works in practice.
